about

Meditations is a cohesive set of recordings which were created in an experimental process during the blizzard Nemo. At the onset, there were just three unfinished song pieces. I set aside the day of the storm to finish, record, and master the songs in a single marathon session, which is precisely what happened.
All three songs were unfinished at the time the record button was pressed. Most of the songs had less than half of the lyrics written, and most of the instrumentation was completely improvised. During the recording process mother nature's strength was in full display, and was the main source of inspiration for these recordings. The improvisational nature, in the context of this profound natural event, is why the term "song(s)" is used loosely, with more accurate terminology being "meditations".
This demo/ep is groundbreaking for me as an artist, because in these recordings I've roughly captured the sound and style I have been chasing for quite some time now. I feel these are my first songs and recordings that have ever truly fit the term "psychedelicate". These recordings are very rough around the edges, and have many blemishes, but contain within them, what is for me, an unprecedented amount of energy and raw expression.
In listening to these recordings, I would suggest that one tries to put themselves in a relaxed and receptive state. I would not suggest shying away from liquid or herbal indulgences in order to ease into a wider frame of mind.

Peace & Progress,
Sister
